Have you ever thought about what they mean?
God delivered you. Most people read that and picture Jesus dying on the cross, they don’t think much of it. They don’t put the full picture behind it. I do it. But think about it. Deliver. Wow. If someone delivers you thats amazing. When I read “He delivered them” I think of something like a huge war and one side winning, delivering. But for some reason I don’t picture that with Jesus. It just doesn’t seem that amazing. But it is! God had to die. He was dead for 3 days! Who knows other than him what it was like? Who knows what happened to him while dead. What he had to go through to deliver us.
Basically in this Christmas season I just wanted to reflect on the deliverer and what he did for us. Reflect on how he delivered us. Picture him as that commander leading armies into a war that will deliver us from the evil one. Deliver us from slavery. Deliver.

totally i totallyagree w/ that like if u think bout it like just really think… its positivey amazing!!! I mean Jesus dident feel like getting beeates.. if you look @ his prayer in the garden i mean he dident want to go hang on a cross.. but he did! he took the journey and opeaned the pathway 4 us!! he opeaned the gateway that door to freedom… its strang when u said the wahole “saved us from slavery” you realyl can relate that to history in the south.. histor repeats itself.. thankfully we knowt hat this wont! he has delivered us forever!!! so long as we accept it.

I agree with this whole heartedly. Jesus died, baisicaly the most painful death he could have possibly died. and that is probably just a sliver of what he went through for US. he didn’t do it for himself. it was all for us. can you even imagine?
