I decided that having to write in friends yearbooks stole all my witty comments and thoughts right out of my brain. That would be the reason for the absence of brilliance on my web site…. or perhaps the absence of brilliance has always been there, and now it’s just an absence of new words.

Yearbooks are intense. You’re sitting around, doing nothing and then all of a sudden, a friend sneaks up on you and he’s like “Sign my yearbook!”. And then I’m forced to go from my ideal, relaxed, minimal-thought state of mind to a high intensity, brain storm of ideas to write in someone’s yearbook. And you can’t just write whatever you want, it has to be meaningful and powerful and thoughtful and clever (everything I lack in my writing).
