Once again school approaches. We are now less than a week away from the start of school. How will it go this year? What about the 2 new teachers I have? Will they adapt to fit in, will they change to be like us, so we want to listen to them? Or will we have to change to be like them? What about the remodel of our school? What will that affect? How about the new lunches, will they be ok, at best? Will the new sixth graders enjoy VSAA? Will they have fun, or be fun to hang with? Or more important will the new sixth graders be shorter than last year? Will I be able to keep up on my work? Will I be able to handle the responsibilities I will be given? Heck, will I be able to finish my summer homework in time? Will I have fun next year? And most important, will I shine for God next year?
Questions. That’s what these are. I ask them, and don’t usually answer them. Some of them I can answer. Some I can’t. This is how we live our lives. You have to choose the questions that are most important to answer; spend your time answering the important ones. Is it important if the 6th graders are shorter this year? No. Is it important for me to handle my responsibilities? Yes. Should I worry about doing that before I’ve been given the responsibilities? No. That’s called stress. It’s unneeded It’s worrying. What about my summer homework? Important? Yes. Something I can change? Yes……. so why am I on the computer typing a blog instead of typing my homework? I don’t know. Is shining for God important? Of course.
So as you can see, questions just lead to more questions.
What am I saying in this post? I don’t know. Probably just that there are a lot of questions, especially when dealing with school, and only God knows the answers.
So here is something else to leave you with. Something you can do. Something you can participate in. Prayer.
Pray for the new school year. Pray for change; for students to shine for God. For miracles. For teachers. For our school.
